Future Leaders UK collects data about individuals, usually within a business context. Future Leaders UK treats all data which identifies an individual as Personal Data.
Future Leaders UK will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us, this means we control what happens to the data in our possession.
We only collect basic personal data about you through our website. It does not include any special types of information. This can, however, include name, address, organisation, email, phone number.
We need to know your basic personal data to provide you with information associated with our events and newsletter. We will not collect any personal data from you; we do not need to provide and oversee this service to you.
All the personal data we process is processed by us in the UK. Data is located on servers within the UK, with the exception of the contact information from people who register to receive our newsletter. This information is stored and processed by HubSpot outside the EU.
No other 3rd parties have access to your personal data. We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.
The information is processed for the following purposes:
Data collected when a client signs up to receive a regular newsletter/events bulletin – data will be processed by Future Leaders UK using HubSpot. The data will only be used to send out the newsletter and the client will be able to unsubscribe at any time via HubSpot. Data will be deleted when users unsubscribe.
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer, who will investigate the matter.
If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
COOKIES
We employ cookie technology to help log visitors to our web site. Cookies are pieces of data that are often created when you visit a website, and which are stored in the cookie directory of your computer. A number of cookies are created when you visit the Future Leaders UK website. The cookies do not contain any personal information about you, and they cannot be used to identify an individual user. The web teams use Google Analytics to record visitors’ use of the site and use this information to make changes to the layout of the website and to the information in it. Log files do not contain any personal information and they are not used to identify any individual patterns of use of the site.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR: WEEKLY SESSIONS:
- In-Person Programme:
Join us for 1 face-to-face session per month (Wednesdays, 6-8:30 PM) in your area, along with 3 online sessions.
Note: You must be able to attend at least 95% of the in-person sessions to remain in the programme.
- Online Programme:
All sessions are conducted online, giving you the flexibility to complete them at your own pace within a weekly deadline—no set time or place, just your ambition and a deadline.

SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR: TRIPS & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Exciting Trips:
Step into the halls of power with visits to 10 Downing Street, explore top Russell Group Universities, and get an insider's view at City Hall, among other prestigious locations.
- Work Experience Opportunities:
Gain hands-on experience with leading organisations across a range of industries, including King’s Hospital, Maples Group International Law Firm, and HSBC.
- University Residentials:
Spend the night at Oxford University, where you'll live on campus, attend lectures, and immerse yourself in the academic environment of one of the world’s top universities.
Note: Trips and work experience opportunities are available to both In-Person and Online students.
YEAR ROUND SUPPORT:
- Mentoring:
Get paired with a dedicated mentor who matches your goals—whether that’s a university student, an apprentice, or an industry professional. You’ll have monthly one-on-one sessions to guide you through your journey, offering personalized advice and support.
- Apprenticeship/University Application Support:
Receive insider tips directly from apprenticeship providers to ace your applications and assessment centres. Plus, gain valuable insights from Russell Group admission tutors on Personal Statements, interviews, assessments.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
- ACCREDITATION
Future Leaders is an accredited programme, which means your participation doesn’t just end with experiences—it’s recognised with a formal qualification. This adds serious value to your CV and future applications (and makes you look extra impressive at family gatherings).
- ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:
To receive accreditation and be eligible for trips, maintaining an attendance of 95% or higher is essential. This applies to both the in-person and online programmes.
- In-Person Programme:
You must attend 95% of the face-to-face sessions to remain eligible. We promise it’s worth it—you don’t want to miss out!
- Online Programme: While the same attendance requirement applies, online students have the flexibility to complete sessions at their own pace, as long as they meet the weekly deadlines. So no excuses—Netflix can wait!
- PROGRAMME START:
The programme begins in October/November, depending on your location.
ELIGIBILITY
At Future Leaders, we don’t select based on grades; we select based on your potential and who you are as a person. So when filling out your application, just be yourself and let your personality shine through. However, we do need four things from you:
1. PARENTAL CONSENT: Your parent or guardian will need to give their approval for you to join the programme. After all, they’ll want to know about the amazing journey you’re about to embark on!
2. TEACHER REFERENCE: We’ll ask for the name and email of a teacher who can vouch for your character and potential. Don’t worry—we’re not interested in your detention history, just your future!
3. COMMITMENT: We’re looking for students who are ready to fully engage and make the most of this opportunity. So, bring your enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to grow!
4. YEAR 12 STATUS: You must be a Year 12 student in the UK. If that’s you, then you’re eligible to apply and join us on this exciting journey!
